Ingredients
Mac and Cheese Powder:
1cupnutritional yeast
½cupof all-purpose flour
1 ½tbspcoconut sugar
2 1/2tsppaprika
2 1/2tspof salt
1tspof onion powder
1tspof garlic powder
1/2tspof turmeric powder
Vegan Mac-n-Cheese:
2cupsof uncooked macaroni
2tbspof vegan butter
1 ½cupsof Plant Milk
1/3cupof mac-n- cheese powder
1tbspof lemon juice.
Instructions
To make Mac-n-Cheese Powder:
Mix together all dry ingredients in a small bowl. Store in an airtight container until needed.
To make Vegan Mac-N-Cheese:
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain pasta in a colander or using the lid. If using the colander return to pot.
Add 2 tbsp vegan butter to the warm pasta and stir. Pour in 1 ½ cups of plant milk to the pasta and 1/3 of a cup of homemade vegan mac-n-cheese powder.
Turn heat onto medium high heat. Stir together the sauce and pasta while it thickens (about 3-5 mins).
Stir well to combine. Add 1 tbsp of lemon juice and more salt to taste.
