California animal activists descended on LA’S Staples Center to protest the Ringling Bros. Circus. While Ringling Bros. says it will stop using elephants by 2018, critics want the elephants phased out NOW and sent to sanctuaries not affiliated with the circus. JaneUnChained correspondent Lila Copeland reports from the scene of the protest.
Since Ringling Bros. says it will continue to use other animals like lions and tigers, the controversy remains. Activists say they will not rest until all animals are removed from all circus performances.
