On the heels of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus shutting down, this spells the death knell for these antiquated and cruel abusements! The NYC passed bill 1233! Council members Rosie Mendez and Corey Johnson co-authored the bill! Mendez is set to join the animal lovers celebrating! NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio is expected to sign the bill into law!
