Kathy Freston’s Favorite Plant-Based Powerhouse Vega Protein Smoothie

INGREDIENTS (serves two)

  • 4 oz water
  • 4 oz coconut water
  • 1 1/2 scoops Vega Sport Performance Protein Powder (sweetened with stevia)
  • 1 heaping Tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1 heaping Tbsp almond butter
  • ~ 1/2 c frozen pineapple (Trader Joes)
  • ~ 1/2 c organic frozen broccoli (365 broccoli florets)
  • ~ 1/2 c frozen pineapple (Trader Joes)
  • ~ 1/2 c organic frozen strawberries (365 Whole Foods)
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds (not blended, but added on top of the smoothie at the end.)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place all ingredients (except chia seeds)  into a high speed blender (Vita Mix) and blend until smooth.
  2. Sprinkle chia seeds on top of glass at the end
