Vegan Chef Supreme Dow

Chef Supreme Dow rallied dozens of vegan volunteers as he aims to enter the Guinness Book of World Records for Most Community Vegan Meals Served in An Hour!

Monday, June 24th, 2024- Los Angeles –  In the heart of Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, an extraordinary event unfolded as the community activist, known as Chef Supreme Dow, set out to achieve a Guinness World Record. The mission? To serve the most vegan community meals in a single hour. This historic feat drew in a large crowd, eager to witness a moment that would not only highlight the power of community but also champion the benefits of plant-based eating. And, they were also drawn by the plain fun of it, as you can see by watching this video.

Chef Supreme Dow: Vegan From Birth

Chef Dow is a long-time advocate for veganism, which makes sense when you consider this spectacularly fit U.S. Army veteran has been vegan since birth. Initially funding his efforts out of his own pocket, his dedication has now culminated in what he is sure will be confirmed as a record-breaking event. “We have over a thousand meals here today. We’re going to feed the community,” Chef Dow exclaimed, his enthusiasm palpable as volunteers prepared for the monumental task ahead.

The menu for this record-setting event was both nutritious and very tasty: vegan meatloaf, Spanish Rice, kale salad and a cookie. The meatloaf was courtesy of Beyond Meat, which donated a huge supply of their plant-based sausage made with avocado oil, which was paired with peppers and onions for the vegan meatloaf. “Chef Dow has just outdone himself with these delicious meals,” a volunteer remarked, highlighting the chef’s commitment to quality and taste.

The event was meticulously organized, with preparations starting early in the morning. By the time the countdown began, the atmosphere was electric. “5,4,3,2,1,” an organizer barked through a bullhorn. The race to serve was on! As the clock ticked down, the team served a remarkable 1,008 meals in just 37 minutes. “An amazing result,” Chef Dow proudly announced, thanking all the volunteers and the sponsors, which included lead sponsor GenV, Beyond Meat and the Boys & Girls Club of San Gabriel Valley & Eastside.

This accomplishment is more than just a record; it is a testament to Chef Dow’s belief in food as a basic human right. “We all have the right to be whole, happy, healthy and fed. That’s the biggest thing. Nobody should ever go hungry,” he emphasized. For Chef Dow, making these meals plant-based was crucial, not just for human health, but for the well-being of the planet and the animals as well.

The event’s successful statistics will be submitted to Guinness for official recognition, with the hopes of being titled, “Most community vegan meals served in an hour.” As Chef Dow reflected on the achievement, he expressed a blend of exhaustion and exhilaration. “I feel amazing. I’m a tad bit tired but I feel engulfed with energy and just love. It’s amazing,” he grinned.

This record-breaking event is a powerful reminder of the impact that one individual’s dedication to a cause can have. Chef Dow’s efforts not only nourished a community but also highlighted the importance of sustainable, cruelty-free food choices.
