Fly Pigeon Fly… Up up to the Sky: An Urban Story of Rescue and Release that will Warm Your Heart!

This past December, smack in the middle of a hectic street full of New Yorkers racing to do their holiday shopping, my partner Donna Dennison spotted a sick pigeon huddled in the bitter cold. We took the bird to the incredible Wild Bird Fund on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. It’s on Columbus Avenue at 87th street… for you New Yorkers. More than two months later, at the start of March, we got the call. Our pigeon, named Jane, was ready for pick-up. Take a trip into the amazing Wild Bird Fund rescue center and follow us as we release Jane back to her flock, called The Hells Kitchen Kids. If you are inspired by the Wild Bird Fund’s amazing work, please help them rescue and rehab all sorts of innocent, urban wildlife. And, city dwellers, we encourage you to look out for your local flock and help them make it through the winters. You can even name them![youtube=http://youtu.be/wO9l3YWu6KM]
