They have many rescued adorable horses on their property.
There is “still room at our shelter for Malibu fire victims,” says spokesman Greg Cooper of The Humane Society of Ventura County (HSVC)! Please alert any victims of the fire that if their animals – dogs-cats-exotic-farm – are in need of shelter due to the fires HSVC will keep them for you indefinitely at no charge.

Greg Cooper is definitely a man with a huge heart for rescuing animals!
Currently 226 animals, including a tortoise, were brought in from the Malibu fires to HSVC. Greg Cooper, Director of Community Outreach says that the animals brought in from natural disasters will be cared for indefinitely at no charge to the owners. Take a tour with Stephanie Blake and I, as we meet some of the rescued animals that are staying here.

They are even caring for a miniature pony!
This shelter takes very good care of their animals. They are a “compassionate care center” which means they do not euthanize animals to make room for other animals. They care for animals as a life-long commitment to the animals until they are adopted. They run completely on donations and they don’t charge families for lodging their animals when they are in need. Please support this extraordinary shelter if you can! You can also help by sharing this location with anyone who needs assistance with their animals big and small in the area.

Lindsey spends time with the animals at the shelter. Bring any rescues here for optimal professional care!
