See Your Holiday Ham Up Close!

A short torturous life and an untimely death are what is destined for this creature all because people want to eat him or her.
Breaking News! See your Holiday HAM up close! JaneUnChained LIVE reports live from a pig slaughterhouse near Downtown Los Angeles. Coverage of these vigils has recently appeared on NBC4/ NBC News, as well as on the cover of Los Angeles Times newspaper. Reportedly, these baby pigs are transported from factory farms to this slaughterhouse! This is your BAR-B-Q pork ribs, bacon, hog meat, sausages, hotdogs and pork rinds. This weekly pig vigil is organized by The Save Movement‘s Los Angeles Animal Save. Animal activists from all over the world give kindness and water to hundreds of pigs before their deaths.

Activists give the pigs a sip of water in an act of mercy before they go to their final destination.
Consumers who eat animals or animal products should know that their dietary choices come at a price. Ultimately, the animals pay that price with their bodies and their lives. The pigs you see at this vigil are no exception. They are trucked in by the hundreds and killed by the thousands at this slaughterhouse. You may be wondering what can be done to end this cycle of abuse and violence. The solution is up to the consumer. The consumer pays for their short torturous lives and deaths every time they choose to buy their flesh or bodily secretions. Make a choice this holiday weekend to leave these animals off of your plates while encouraging others to do the same. If you are celebrating Easter, ask yourself, shouldn’t a holiday promoting the peaceful teachings of a messiah to so many promote peace in its celebratory traditions as well?

These sweet baby pigs only want to live, love, and be loved.
Attend a weekly vigil with Los Angeles Animal Save on Sundays and with Animal Alliance Network on Wednesdays.
Connect with your local Save Movement chapter to attend a vigil and get involved.

One activist is overcome with sadness. These pigs are suffering and we all have the ability to empathize with their plight.
