The event, produced by Vkind, which debuted the first all-vegan cooking competition TV show, Peeled, last year, will take attendees on a culinary, multicultural, sensory globe-trot as they are immersed in stunning visual projections while tasting flavors from around the world — all of which are made from plants.

“What if plants took over the world?” reads the VKX2023 website. “Imagine a world where plants reign supreme, and culinary adventure awaits around every corner.”

 Yo Egg Show Stopper!

Yo Egg - Plant-Based Eggs
Yo Egg – Plant-Based Eggs

One such adventure is the introduction of a mini “quail-sized” plant-based egg crafted by Southern California’s Yo Egg. Developed exclusively for this event, this culinary delight promises to be a show stopper. “It’s not only an advancement in food technology but also an absolute culinary delight that you won’t want to miss,” Eran Groner, CEO of Yo Egg, said in a statement.

The Yo Egg looks, cooks, and tastes like conventional eggs but without the environmental or negative health consequences.

Celebrity chef Chris Tucker, who is curating the event’s menu, will spotlight the plant-based egg in a dish tailored for the event’s Asian room. “Yo Egg is truly in a class of its own… it might just be my favorite product on the market,” Tucker said.

“We are absolutely thrilled to feature Yo Egg’s newest invention at the Vkind Experience,” said Star Simmons, Vkind’s founder. “We’re here to push the envelope and with the help of Yo Egg, we’re creating something that has never been done before,” Simmons said.

This isn’t just about one innovation, though; the event will take attendees on a journey of culinary magic through its 11 global-themed rooms with several dishes prepared for each of the 11 rooms. The Experience promises a smorgasbord of international plant-based delights, with food inspiration spanning the globe — from the streets of Paris to the mysterious world of mushrooms. There are flavor journeys in every one of the rooms. Venture through the pyramids of Giza, dive into the world’s oceans, and romp through the Amazon with sights, sounds, and tastes to complement the experience.

In the Americas, for example, guests will taste a range of Latin inspired dishes including Argentinian style “steak” bites with chimichurri, Mexican-style tamale corn cakes, and Central America tostones with guacamole. All 100% plant-based and absolutely delicious.

There’s a raw room featuring culinary innovations that showcase the versatility of fruits and vegetables — all made without cooking; there’s a sweets room with secret desserts in store for every level of sweet tooth, and the event’s VIP area, sponsored by Mellody Honey, a leading plant-based honey, will feature special menu items for those exclusive ticket holders.

Short Film Will Premiere at the Event!

Alongside the epicurean delights, Vkind Studios will also premiere the short film, The Next Girl. This narrative, set against a backdrop of unsettling dystopia, offers a deep dive into the life of a young girl confronting unspeakable injustices. Terrah Bennett Smith ( “Blueprint” and “After Midnight”) directed this powerful piece. “I am proud to be able to tell this story and look forward to the screening at VKX2023,” Bennett Smith says.

“The Next Girl” unfolds a compelling story about the challenges of our current times, a story that we felt compelled to share,” says Simmons. “I am extremely excited to introduce this impactful narrative to attendees at VKX in November.  It’s going to leave people talking.”

The Vkind Experience is gearing up to be an immersive multi-sensory event, blending unparalleled vegan culinary artistry with compelling visual storytelling. A part of the event’s ticket sales will benefit various noble causes including LA’s Saffyre Sanctuary and the reforestation initiative One Tree Planted as well as Vegans of LA and UnchainedTV.  There’s plenty of easy parking on site!
