Vegan Senator Cory Booker Breaks Record, Showing Superhuman Stamina

US Senator Cory Booker Speaking on Senate Floor

Vegan Senator Cory Booker breaks record and enters the history books, delivering the longest Senate speech ever. Booker broke the record set in 1957 by segregationist Senator Strom Thurmond

April 1st, 2025 – Vegan Senator Cory Booker, showing extraordinary stamina and strength, has now made history for speaking longer – on the Senate floor – than any other U.S. Senator ever. The plant-based politician started at 7pm on Monday night and kept going all night long, into Tuesday day and evening! According to USA Today,ย  “Since he started speaking at 7 p.m. on Monday night, the senior senator from New Jersey has not eaten. He has periodically sipped from two glasses of water that sit on his desk near five three-ring binders and a box of tissues. And he has not left the chamber to go to the bathroom.” Whaaaat?

So Much for Vegans Being Weak!

Politics aside, both sides of the aisle owe Senator Booker respect and admiration for his endurance. As UnchainedTV has been saying since our inception, a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains and legumes makes you stronger, more fit, more resilient, with faster recovery times and better endurance. Now, the vegan senator from New Jersey has proved that to be the case.

Make America Healthy Again? I’ll Have What He’s Having!

The current administration, which has launched a Make America Healthy Again campaign, would be smart to avail itself of some vegan wisdom. The easiest, fastest, cheapest way to Make America Healthy Again would be to slash the corporate welfare for industrialized animal agriculture that’s packed into the Farm Bill and give farmers who produce fruits and veggies for human consumptionย  more support. With 43% of Americans experiencing obesity, and most overweight, the time has come to get real about why our citizens are experiencing preventable lifestyle illnesses. It’s primarily the result of fast food, which is packed with high calorie, high fat, high cholesterol, meat and dairy products. The proverbial double cheeseburger washed down with a shake is a toxic combo that would be MUCH more expensive if taxpayers were not forced to subsidize animal agriculture to the tune of many billions of dollars in handouts.

Booker Has Been Vegan Since 2014

When Booker ran for President, he famously missed an opportunity to advocate for veganism.ย  During the third Democratic primary debate of the 2020 presidential campaign, he was asked, “You are a vegan since 2014, and thatโ€™s obviously a personal choice. Should people follow your diet?” Booker refrained from urging other Americans to follow suit, which was a big disappointment to the vegan community, although he did criticize factory farming. The supposition was that he felt it would doom his campaign to urge Americans to go vegan. Today, with such hard partisan divides, perhaps the one thing that everyone – Republican and Democrat – can agree on is: we have to get healthier as a nation. The way to do that is clear.ย  Stop subsidizing bad food and start supporting nature’s most obvious choice: veggies, grains, fruits and nuts.ย  For those who seek traditional values, perhaps it’s time to remember an old saying: an apple a day keeps the doctor away!
