RECIPE: Brian’s: Easy, Nutritious Meal for Under Three Dollars
INGREDIENTS
- 1 c uncooked brown rice
- 16 oz pkg frozen peas (Trader Joe’s)
- 15 oz can dark red kidney beans, washed and drained (Sprouts)
- 1 T soy sauce, to taste
DIRECTIONS
- Cook the brown rice according to package directions
- Heat the frozen peas and kidney beans in a saucepan with 1/2 c water until they are heated through
- Drain the water from the saucepan with the peas and kidney beans
- Gently fold the peas and kidney beans into the rice
- Season with soy sauce to taste
- Enjoy!
