Amazing Vegan Food and the Power of Silence: March of Silence 2018!
Voices for the Voiceless meets March of Silence! #LunchBreakLIVE at the famous vegan restaurant Au Lac DTLA in downtown Los Angeles, California, across from the Walt Disney Concert Hall and near the Ahmanson Theatre and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, with several of the organizers for the upcoming March Of Silence which is on Wednesday September 12, at 5 p.m. Enjoy the food visuals as we join Animal Rights activists Ellen Dent, Michelle Chalupa, and Cesar Acebedo, who are helping organize the march.
The food was absolutely amazing at Au Lac as always, but these activists were also here to talk about the March of Silence happening this week! Animal rights activists will cover their mouths with bright green frog tape and march in complete silence in solidarity with all animals in hopes they will all be liberated one day. Animals never had a voice or the ability to consent to what happens to their bodies, and these activists aim to bring awareness to as many people as possible using the power of silence. Billions of animals are tortured and silenced eternally every year, so this march is a demonstration of silence in order to raise awareness of the injustice experienced by animals around the world.
The March of Silence also has an amazing billboard on Sunset Blvd and Gower St, and the billboard was made possible by a generous donor Beverly Aigen. She found the March of Silence on Instagram and answered their plea to buy a billboard to raise awareness of the march for animal liberation. Beverly is an amazing advocate for the animals, and she supports political actions for their rights whenever she can. Check out the Billboard photo below!
From the octopus made with mushrooms atop sautéed veggies and forbidden black rice, to the yam shrimp, and raw curry rice, the food was so amazing this day and every day at Au Lac. Au Lac has an amazing variety of vegan dishes and many of them are raw which very beneficial for the body. This is a must stop place for any vegan, vegetarian, plant-based, or even meat-eating person. We are amazed and you will be too! Please join us for the March of Silence September 12th. Everyone is welcome to come march in silence with us!
