Slaughterhouses are Illegal in this Country!

#LIVE from the South Asian country of Bhutan on #JaneUnchained. Correspondent Elysabeth Alfano of Awesome Vegans with Elysabeth Alfano Podcast/Vlog reporting from the only carbon neutral country in the world which has outlawed slaughterhouses! Kalden Dcabba (Sangay Ten Zin AKA S.T.) joins her!
Elysabeth enjoyed her trip to Bhutan thanks to S.T., her amazing tour guide!
Elysabeth starts off by showing us some of the wonderful vegan options they have in the restaurant. They have a spinach and onion soup, cucumber salad, vegetable rice, mushrooms, and fried string beans. There is no wonder that there are so many vegan options in this restaurant because it is against their national Buddhist beliefs to kill animals. This is the reason why they made slaughterhouses illegal in this country. The uniqueness of this country doesn’t end there. They also preserve their environment and maintain sixty percent of their forests for future generations to enjoy. They do consume milk in Bhutan but the animals roam freely and are allowed to live with their babies. They also do not have any homeless or poor. Everyone has food and shelter. Bhutan may arguably be the most compassionate country in the world for these reasons. Come visit the peaceful country of Bhutan if you can!
