Kitchen Mouse! Don’t Call the Exterminator!

The spread at this LunchbreakLIVE was incredible!

#JaneUnChained #LIVE at Kitchen Mouse Cafe & Catering on Figueroa and North Avenue 59 in Highland Park! Everything is vegan on the menu (although you can request an additional egg). They also have a 100% vegan grab & go counter called Topo! This place is extraordinary! Try the food alongside taste testers Jane Velez-Mitchell, Paige Parsons Roache, Kenziah Rubens, and Ellen Dent, and meet one of the owners!

Dessert before lunch. Why not??

Jen Daking one of the amazing owners alongside her sister, Chef Emily Daking, at Kitchen Mouse, shows us around Topo so we can see all of the amazing grab & go items that they make in house. Jen explains Kitchen Mouse also caters, and there are even celebrities that choose them to cater at their parties because their food is so good! The food is not only vegan, but they also have plenty of gluten-free options as well. Jen explains that Kitchen Mouse focuses on providing whole-food plant-based offerings and they avoid using fake meats. Their food is not only extremely delicious, but it is also nutritious!

Today Jane, Paige, Kenziah, and Ellen tried several amazing dishes including the Buffalo Macaroni Bowl, Tempeh Rueben, Chilaquiles, and the Smores Pancakes. All of which were absolutely delicious. But before they tasted the lunch, they had dessert! You can wash all their amazing food down with their homemade chai tea latte. This is a must try restaurant and while you’re there don’t forget to stop into Topo next door which is their vegan bakery and bodega. Stop by Kitchen Mouse Cafe & Catering next time you are in the Highland Park area! There is a reason they have a line of people waiting to eat their delicious food!
