Environmentalists and Native American tribe leaders in Florida are alarmed over a wildly expensive proposal to put a 76-mile long paved bike path across the Everglades from the edge of Miami to the edge of Naples! It would run next to the Tamiami Trail. The so-called River of Grass Greenway could cost an estimated 1-million dollars a mile! Critics say bureaucrats – hell bent on a big project – would destroy sensitive wetlands and endanger wildlife while claiming they are just providing access to nature.
Now, tell the National Park Service how you feel.
