How to Make Spicy Vegan Pasta

RECIPE:Â Vegan Spicy Red Pepper Pasta
INGREDIENTS:Â

Vegan: Thick Spaghetti
-
Vegan Cheese (Trader Joes Mozzarella Shreds)
-
1 bunch fresh organic basil
-
1 – 2 large celery sticks
-
1/2Â white onion, chopped
-
2 large fresh jalapenos
-
1.5 Tbsp minced garlic
-
7 – 8 fresh organic mushrooms, sliced
-
7 – 8 Tbsp of oil
-
1.5 can of organic tomato sauce
-
1.5 cups fresh organic mini sugar plum tomatoes, sliced in half

1 tsp each:
-
turmeric
-
pink himalayan salt
-
pepper
-
red pepper flakes
-
Italian herbs
-
oregano
-
thyme
-
cayenne pepper
-
Sriracha hot sauce
-
habanero hot sauce
-
INSTRUCTIONS
Sauce:
-
Heat 8 tablespoons of oil. Add chopped onion, jalapeños and celery and let it cook for about 5-10 minutes, until the onion is light golden brown.

Next, add minced garlic and mushroom. Cook about 5 min.

Next, add tomato sauce and sliced tomatoes. Add all the following herbs: turmeric, pink Himalayan salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, Italian herbs, oregano, thyme, Sriracha hot sauce, and habanero. Let it simmer for about 15 – 30 min

Add basil and vegan cheese.
Pasta:

Boil 6 – 8 cups of water, adding in oil and salt. Cook for 11 minutes

Drain and serve with pasta sauce.
