Rescue + Freedom Project Brings Dog Meat Survivors to Safety!
#JaneUnChained #LIVE! Watch as 4 dogs rescued from the South Korean dog meat trade are released in Los Angeles by Rescue + Freedom Project! Taylor, a schnauzer mix, Johnnie, a dachshund mix and Freddie, a beagle, were whisked to safety just before they would have been killed for South Korea’s horrific dog meat trade! May, a cocker spaniel, was picked up off the streets of South Korea before she could be kidnapped by dog meat abductors! Members of KONI, an incredible South Korean rescue group, risked their lives to get these babies to safety and freedom! Now, they will head to their forever homes!
Jane tapes the dogs as they take their first glimpses of freedom. Unbelievably, there are areas of South Korea where companion animals are outlawed. These rescuers risk their lives and their freedom to save these dogs. Next, we see them released form their kennels to stretch their legs and receive love from their rescuers. Amazingly despite the conditions they have come from, these dogs are ready to trot, play, and reciprocate affection to humans. It’s hard to believe that these animals and any other sentient creatures could be killed for human consumption. There is no difference between these dogs, a pig, cow, sheep, chicken, or any other species used for meat. Today we see the innocence and pure joy of these dogs as they begin a life full of love and safety.
