A Mother Daughter Duo, Cookin’ Veganized Peruvian Food!
Lomo Saltado, aka Seitan Steak! Learn how to make this veganized traditional Peruvian dish! On #LunchBreakLIVE with this amazing Vegan Mother-Daughter Duo! They are Animal Rights Activists mixing it up in the kitchen! Lorie Matola and Madison Serrano love cooking together and participating in various outreach for the animals. Sharing the feeling of moral obligation for animal liberation, you can find them at demonstrations and protests all over California to raise awareness and educate the public on the many ways animals are being exploited.Â
When not cooking amazing vegan food, you can find Lorie and her daughter Madison out protesting on the streets, fighting for animals rights and to end animal exploitation of all kinds.
But today they were in JaneUnChained’s kitchen, cooking up some authentic vegan Peruvian food!
And Now For The Recipe
Ingredients1 Pack of West Soy Seitan Strips1 Pack of Frozen French Fries1 Pack of Microwavable Rice (Trader Joes)4 Roma Tomatoes (sliced length wise & remove remove soft centers)1 White Onion (slice into thin strips)CilantroMinced GarlicSteak Seasoning1/4 Tsp CuminCrushed Red PepperSoy SauceRed Wine VinegarSaltDirectionsStart w/ French Fries (as they take the longest) *Follow package directions (as far as oven temp/time)
Add 1 tbsp of Oil to Frying Pan
Brown onions & minced garlic
Add Seitan & cook (per package instructions)
Add dry ingredients (salt, pepper, cumin, red pepper, and steak seasoning)
Continue Stiring
Add 3 tbsp of Soy Sauce & 2 tbsp of Red Wine Vinegar
Plate rice, French Fries (and serve Seitan over French Fries)
Garnish w/ Cilantro & Enjoy!
