Vegan Burgers + Fries With Couples Cookin’!
Vegan Burgers Are Easy To Find And Tasty To Eat!
Juicy VEGAN burgers and Cajun Fries on the #CouplesCookin Show with #JaneUnChained contributor Chelsea V Davis of Veggies Do It Better, Animal Rights Collective Portland and #VeganTipsTuesday and her hunter-turned-vegan activist hubby Jake Vaage. This was such a fun-filled show, cooking up some juicy vegan burgers with melted vegan cheese and some baked cajun fries….cause you can’t have a burger without fries! let’s see how these two cooked up this tasty meal, and how they like to dress their burgers with all sorts of yummy toppings.
What Are Your Favorite Vegan Burgers?
I love Beyond Meat Burgers and Impossible Burgers. Those are my top two vegan burger choices. But there are so many options now available that I haven’t even tried yet! Trader Joes makes their own vegan burger, many grocery chains have their own vegan brand burgers now…they are everywhere! How awesome is that?! Burgers and fries are a great go-to meal, so it is fantastic that vegans have so many choices for burger night nowadays! Chelsea and her Hubby Jake used Beyond Meat burgers for this show, and wow they look delicious!
What Do You Put On Your Vegan Burgers?
I like to top my vegan burgers with cheese, vegan, of course, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and mushrooms. I am not a huge onion fan, but I wish I was because onions are super good for you! Chelsea and Jake topped their burgers with grilled onions, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, melted vegan cheese, and more! Burgers just get better and better the more you pile on top of them! Jake even put his cajun fries atop his patty! They used Nafsika’s Garden vegan provolone cheese and Violife vegan cheddar on their burgers. You will have to watch the video to find out ALL of the delicious toppings they used to top off their burgers, cause they went BIG with toppings.
Don’t Forget Your Side Of Fries!
You can’t have vegan burgers without a side of fries. That would be criminal! Haha. Chelsea and Jake made Cajun fries using Yukon gold potatoes and red potatoes. Jake mixed a homemade cajun spice using, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, smoked paprika (the secret ingredient), and sea salt. He threw them in the air fryer/oven and BAM…delicious side of fries. I am providing the recipe for the cajun fries below so check it out.

Growing up, hunting, fishing, and eating animals the framework of Jake’s family. Then in late 2015, he met Chelsea! At the beginning of 2016, Jake did a 22-day vegan challenge that changed his life. He lost 7 pounds, his skin cleared up, and he started sleeping more efficiently. Following the challenge, he stopped eating factory-farmed animals, and not too long after that, he stopped hunting and fishing and became a passionate vegan advocate, animal rights activist, and athlete. Shows how anyone has the power to change! In recent years, Jake has been getting nerdier about proper nutrition and peak performance leading him and Chelsea to start a health and wellness business.
