For those of you who are not familiar with Jackfruit, let me tell you a little about this special plant. Jackfruit is a tropical fruit that grows in South and Southeast Asia. It is the largest tree fruit in the world!  Raw jackfruit has spiky skin and sweet flesh with a flavor kind of like mango.

Fresh jackfruit isn’t readily available in grocery stores in the U.S. but you can easily find it canned.  While ripe jackfruit tastes very sweet, young jackfruit that comes in cans has little flavor to it, but it absorbs flavor like crazy, so it is perfect for cooking. It also has a “shredded meat” texture, perfect for mimicking things like shredded beef or pork.

Smothered Fries: Golden Fried French Fries topped with Macaroni and Cheese, Your Choice of Meat, Shredded Cabbage, Pico De ‘Gallo, White Sauce, Pink Sauce, Jalapeño Peppers and One Grilled sliced of Grilled Plantain.

The Jamaican Bowl: Jerk Cauliflower Wings, Grilled Cabbage, Jasmine Rice, Grilled Plantain.

The Soul Bowl: Savory Jackfruit, mac and cheese, black beans over jasmine rice, grilled cabbage, grilled slice of plantain and cornbread.

The Burrito: Savory House Made Black Beans mixed with delicious Jasmine Rice. Topped with Shredded Purple and Green Cabbage, Pico De Gallo, then topped with our three house sauces; vegan ranch, pink sauce and taco sauce wrapped in large grilled flour tortilla served with a grilled slice of plantain.
