Jackfruit is very versatile and has the texture of “tuna’ fish, making it easy to mimic that sandwich you may remember from childhood. Whether you are trying to limit seafood in your diet or you don’t like to eat fish at all, this sandwich is a great recipe when hunger strikes. It is super quick and easy to throw together, packed full of flavor, and absolutely delicious. And, if you choose to not eat fish, you help to save our oceans, so do your part and eat plant-based.

Un-Tuna Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 can jackfruit rinsed and shredded
- 1/3 cup tomatoes chopped
- 1/3 cup onions chopped
- 2 tablespoons vegan mayo
- 1/4 cup pickle relish or you can use celery or olives instead
- Salt and pepper optional
Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a bowl. Stir well. Scoop desired amount onto your favorite sourdough bread. Enjoy!
