Tastes of Bri transforms Chicagoland’s food scene with dazzling vegan dishes.

Cicero, Illinois, June 30th –  It takes just twenty minutes to get from Chicago to Cicero, a town made famous in the roaring twenties when the legendary gangster Al Capone made the suburb his crime syndicate’s headquarters. The area went on to become a huge, mid-century manufacturing center. You might say Cicero is making history again, as people from all over Chicagoland flock to an unassuming storefront that holds a magical draw: gourmet dishes at fast food prices. Tastes of Bri is named after its owner, who simply goes by Chef Briana or Chef Bri. Having studied at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, she is merging her considerable cooking skills with her passion for plant-based cuisine to create a menu that dazzles the tastebuds. “I really love making plant-based dishes. The creativity is endless,” she explains. In the process, Tastes of Bri is redefining the Midwest’s vegan cuisine scene.

 

Signature Dishes

Among the crowd favorites is the Vegan Jerk Alfredo, featuring house-made Alfredo cream, vegan Parmesan cheese, with soy-free, nut-free ingredients. “Everyone can enjoy it,” says Chef Bri. Another highlight is the Vegan Birria Tacos, a gluten-free delight made with double-layered corn shells and topped with vegan mozzarella cheese.

Community and Inspiration

Opened in 2018, Tastes of Bri was born out of Chef Bri’s desire to make healthy eating accessible. “I love when people come and say it’s their first time trying to transition to veganism,” she says. The restaurant also offers meal preps and delivery services, ensuring everyone can enjoy their creative, healthy dishes.

A Little Bit of Philly in Chicagoland

The vegan Philly Cheesesteak Sliders and the vegan Fish Sandwich, made from hearts of palm, are other must-try items. Chef Bri’s innovative approach ensures that even traditional comfort foods are given a healthy, plant-based twist.
