Make This Artichoke Dip in 5 Minutes!

This is a quick, easy recipe, that is sure to impress whomever you are entertaining! Yum!
Sandy explains that you cannot buy better life insurance than going vegan. She is a registered nurse and she knows that what you put in your body is what you get out of it. In 1990 a friend of hers ordered pizza without cheese and Sandy asked her why. Her friend explained she did not support the dairy industry’s mistreatment of cows. That day Sandy had her last cheese pizza and it was also her last dairy. She calls dairy cow slime, which doesn’t sound appetizing. Sandy explains how cows are forcefully inseminated and kept pregnant their whole lives. When the baby calf is born they are isolated and they are given chemical milk formula. They are never allowed to roam so their meat stays tender, and they are usually sent to veal farms within days of their birth. Once the cows are unable to produce milk and their bodies are withered from living in torturous conditions, they are sent for slaughter too. Dairy is “liquid meat,’ so please choose plant-based alternatives and save these creatures from being tormented!

Sandy shows us the artichokes that she is using are contained in water, not oil, which is very important. Erin explains that we need to decrease our oil consumption because there can be up to 30 olives in one tablespoon of olive oil alone. That’s simply too much fat. Sandy says this is a quick and easy recipe for people to throw together in 5 minutes. It comes especially in handy if a last-minute guest stops by. Erin carves out the bread bowl from a big loaf of sourdough bread. Check out her technique! The bread that you remove is used for dipping pieces after you chop them up. There is no waste in this recipe! After mashing the artichoke hearts, you add a little veganaise and vegan parmesan and you’re practically done. This dip is versatile. You can use it on top of pasta too! Sprinkle a little paprika on top and you have an irresistibly creamy appetizer to share with all of your family and friends.
