Virginia Senior is an architect, real estate developer, vegan chef, restaurateur,  entrepreneur, artist, and aspiring drummer.  Senior’s career started in architecture, where the opportunity to create functional art became a driving passion. Architecture taught her about sustainability, community, and the need for art in all our lives.  With Virginia’s business partner, Nathaniel J. Burns,  Urban Beans, has become an ongoing project, filled with the idea of feeding people healthy delicious vegan food.  Currently exploring a bar and marketplace concept, Urban Beans continues its 11-year journey in midtown phoenix.

Lisa Barca is a Professor by day, punk singer by night, and activist 24/7, Lisa Barca dedicates her life to the cause of animal liberation. She is the frontwoman of Scarlet Rescue, an all-vegan band whose mission is “rock for all-species liberation.” Their summer 2020 smash hit music video, “Barbecue Protest,” has reached around the world with its fun and snarky take on being vegan in a speciest culture. More recently, the band has collaborated with Jane Velez-Mitchell and the Save Movement to create “Regan’s Song” (Go Vegan for Regan), a rock ballad celebrating the life of activist Russell. Lisa also teaches animal ethics and first-year humanities courses at Arizona State University.
