Gentle Restoration Proposed for Ballona Wetlands on LA’s Coast! POLICE CALLED ON CLIMATE ACTIVIST On Monday, October 5th, LA City Council candidate and climate activist Molly Basler was threatened with possible arrest as she stood on public property and aimed her cellphone camera at controversial work being done by SoCal Gas inside the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve.

A tidal wave of opposition is rising up against a reckless plan to destroy LA’s last coastal wetlands, 640 acres known as the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve in the Playa del Rey neighborhood!
