The 8th Annual Veggie Pride Parade saw hundreds of vegans and vegetarians gathering on the cobblestone steps of Manhattan’s famous Meatpacking district, where most of the meat warehouses have given way to chic, impossibly expensive boutiques.
This video is the first in a series on the parade, which brings together many dozens of vegan, animal rights and veggie dining groups. Among those marching NYC’s Vegetarian Meetup group, which is huge. But, there was also a smaller contingent of vegans from a Long Island vegan club. Such fun!
