LA Times Features A Pig Vigil on Front Page!

Front page news! It doesn’t get better than that!

#JaneUnChained #LIVETALK The Save Movement just got a huge write up in the Los Angeles Times by Gustavo Arellano and photographer Rob Gauthier! Join us to discuss what’s next with… Save Movement co-founder Anita Krajnc, Los Angeles Animal Save‘s Amy Jean Davis and Animal Alliance Network!

Activists give thirsty pigs water as they arrive at the slaughterhouse.

The Save Movement pig vigils have officially broken into mainstream media in Los Angeles thanks to the efforts of Gustavo Arellano and photographer Rob Gauthier! Organizers hope that this is only the beginning of more media exposure to come. Regardless, this article is a victory for the movement and for the billions of animals worldwide that have their lives at stake. Amy Jean Davis explains they plan to work with PR firms to keep the momentum going.  Anita explains that this kind of press coverage is rare and greatly appreciated. She emphasizes the need to disrupt society to raise awareness and provoke people to think about the current state of affairs on our planet. If we continue this way, there won’t be a suitable planet for humanity to live on. This is the time to keep promoting this movement towards compassion for animals and saving our planet now. Jane says, “We are in a race against time.”

The desperation for a last sip of water is captured powerfully by Rob Gauthier.

For this reason, The Save Movement has created a new branch called the Climate Save Movement. The Save Movement plans to collaborate with successful environmental groups like Extinction Rebellion and Fridays for Future to raise awareness of what is happening to the environment as a result of human practices. This is wonderful news because when groups on the same missions using different methods work together we have a stronger presence overall. It is time to rise up and demand change. We can raise awareness thanks to amazing media coverage like this article in  The Los Angeles Times. Activists will keep pushing until veganism and compassion towards animals is normalized. Let’s truly make this the “Year of the Pig” by raising our voices and saving their lives!

Marked for slaughter, these sweet beings are no longer alive today.
