We’re LIVE on LunchbreakLIVE for JaneUnChained in Los Angeles, with Candace Cane a vegan pole dancer, entertainer, and teacher. She is also the creator and director of Pole Candy A Fashion Show, on October 8th featuring our very own JaneUnchained contributor Vanessa Marsot of Ellora Wellness! Today, Candace is bringing the party to us by making Vegan Mexican pinwheels! Check her out in action as she veganizes this fun dish!
Candace is a champion level professional pole dancer. She has even performed at Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Strongman event where he was promoting the revolutionary new documentary film, Game Changers. Candace has been vegan since 2014 when she learned about all of its benefits for health, the animals, and the planet! Now, she’s created a vegan pole dance apparel fashion show to show pole dancers all of the different brands of apparel they can buy around the world. Maybe if we’re lucky Candace and Vanessa will give us all a lesson one day!
Candace says these rolls are a hit at all of her family parties. Her family couldn’t believe vegan food tastes so good! She explains they are easy to make with just a few ingredients. She uses a tortilla to wrap up all of the festive vegan ingredients. Vanessa explains that soy products don’t have animal estrogen, they have phytoestrogen which is a plant estrogen that won’t give you “man boobs.” Candace mixes all of the inner ingredients including the chopped red peppers Tofutti sour cream, Daiya cheddar cheese, together with the spices. Afterward, she spreads her mixture onto the four tortillas and rolls them up. In true cooking show magic, Candace pulls out the premade and chilled rolls and shows us how to cut them. Vanessa jumps in for the taste test, and judging by her reaction there must be a party in her mouth! Be the hit at your next party with these rolls or make them for your own 1 person party using Candace’s recipe below!
