Why is Florida Becoming the New Capitol of Cruel?
In October of 2015, Florida plans a massive massacre of black bears. The hunt was approved by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, whose commissioners are appointed by Republican Florida Governor Rick Scott. Watch Florida activist Julie Watkins tell the sordid inside story below.

I Live in Florida and it deeply hurts me. In Florida they are acting as if Bears are exotic creatures to Florida and should not be here. I hate that this is happening. Great Entry
I agree. I also live in Florida and it’s painful to see that while the majority of residents oppose the bear hunt, the governor and FWC are ignoring our pleas to stop the hunt. We want word to get out everywhere and people to become outraged and join us in our protest. There is no scientific basis for the hunt…that it will decrease human-bear conflicts or that it is warranted due to increasing bear numbers. In fact, what we need is a wildlife corridor to help the disparate populations interbreed. Where I live, there is a tiny population of perhaps 20 individuals! They need more space and humans are increasingly encroaching on their habitat and taking away their primary food source so that they almost HAVE to come out of the woods and into residential areas in search of food. https://cecilspride.wordpress.com/2015/09/27/countdown-to-war-on-florida-bears/

Any ideas on how to help stop this hunt?? It’s Oct. 5th and the we lost the lawsuit. We need any help we can get!! Thank you Jane for bringing attention to our situation by showing the Girls Gone Green video. But now we need more help to somehow put a halt to this hunt!

They are appealing the order denying the motion for a temporary injunction.
Heartwrenching to see the blatant in-your-face shameful arrogance of the governor and the FWC. The rape and assault of the term Conservation needs to be clearly exposed in Florida.
