Times are Changing: Fatburger Offers Plant-based Impossible Burger!
#JaneUnChained LIVE at Fatburger where we are taste testing the new 100% plant-based Impossible Foods’ Impossible Burger on Udi’s Breads/ Udi’s Gluten Free bun. This is a major breakthrough for the plant-based movement! A slew of fast food & casual dining chains have begun offering vegan options! This is how the world is going to normalize veganism and make the switch!
Jane had a good first trip back to a fast food restaurant, after several years of avoiding them at all costs, and this time she wasn’t protesting. She was there to support plant-based options! And for good reason because everything that we know in existence is at stake. Our species is literally destroying the planet with our eating choices. Veganism is still the minority, but it needs to be the majority before it is too late. As Jane explains, we are overheating the planet by destroying the forests for more farmland to raise animals that eat an unsustainable amount of grains. In about 8 years there wont be any wildlife left. We are literally destroying this planet and everything on it, and animal agriculture is the number one cause of greenhouse gas emissions. We must do better. We must change as a species before we destroy everything we know and ourselves.
Big companies are investing in plant-based alternatives and clean meat alternatives. The future is coming and these companies don’t want to be left behind. There is an article in Forbes Magazine that promotes plant-based businesses as being more profitable in 2018. It’s time for change and Fatburger is embodying this by offering this plant-based burger option. Businesses need to change and the best way we can ensure that change is to spend our money on plant-based and vegan options. Let the message ring through loud and clear that if you want our money, you have to offer us what we want to buy, sustainable, plant-based options!
In the meantime, lets support plant-based options. Go Fatburger and ask for the plant-based Impossible Burger without mayo or cheese. As Paige explains there are 100% vegan gluten-free Udi buns also available and their standard bun is also vegan according to their website. Please make sure they grill the burger on a separate clean grill, free of animal product residues. And most of all, enjoy, because these burgers taste so much better without animal products!

I live in a town that has zero choices for the vegan population and I am tired of getting odd looks when I explain my choices.Of course…I end up with a salad. So, I would welcome ANY vegan choices, but since this is farm country I believe I’ll have a long wait.
Carol hi,
Create a vegan meet up group! You get together and go to a restaurant and all ask for vegan meals, then talk to the manager (before or after arrival) about how this is a growing consumer demand. Host monthly vegan potlucks at rotating homes. Create a FaceBook page called ____ (town) Vegans and invite your fellow vegans to join. There are tons of options. I would be happy to help you further and even do an interview with you so that others can suggest ideas! Please keep me posted! Have fun with the challenge! xo
