New Yorkers Gather on Steps of City Hall to Say Neigh to Carriage Horses: But the Media is Missing!
A coalition of New Yorkers and animal organizations gathered in force on the steps of New York City Hall to urge NYC Council members to approve a bill introduced by New York’s Mayor Bill de Blasio to ban carriage horses from NYC and retire all of them to sanctuaries that are already lined up to take them. Notably missing from the event, which included reps from Friends of Animals, NYCLASS and the Humane Society of the United States was the media. As with so many animal rights demonstrations, JaneUnChained.com was the only media outlet with a video camera and there’s no evidence the news conference got any coverage anywhere else. Why not? Why does the media consistently ignore those speaking for voiceless animals? Check it out and share the video. And click HERE to tell NYC Council members to ban horse drawn carriages.
