Kathy Freston’s Favorite Plant-Based Powerhouse Vega Protein Smoothie
INGREDIENTS (serves two)
- 4 oz water
- 4 oz coconut water
- 1 1/2 scoops Vega Sport Performance Protein Powder (sweetened with stevia)
- 1 heaping Tbsp ground flax seed
- 1 heaping Tbsp almond butter
- ~ 1/2 c frozen pineapple (Trader Joes)
- ~ 1/2 c organic frozen broccoli (365 broccoli florets)
- ~ 1/2 c frozen pineapple (Trader Joes)
- ~ 1/2 c organic frozen strawberries (365 Whole Foods)
- 1 Tbsp chia seeds (not blended, but added on top of the smoothie at the end.)
DIRECTIONS
- Place all ingredients (except chia seeds)Â into a high speed blender (Vita Mix) and blend until smooth.
- Sprinkle chia seeds on top of glass at the end
