ANIMAL LOVERS ALERT: New York State DINING WITH DOGS BILL needs your help to pass. It simply lets dogs on restaurant patios at proprietor’s discretion. It’s the now the law in California and is a huge hit! Of course they’ve been doing this for ages in Europe.

Movie star and vegan activist Alicia Silverstone also spoke and signed copies of her new book The Kind Mama. Many thousands of people packed an enormous arena to sample vegan food and buy American made vegan, cruelty-free products.

The 8th Annual Veggie Pride Parade saw hundreds of vegans and vegetarians gathering on the cobblestone steps of Manhattan’s famous Meatpacking district, where most of the meat warehouses have given way to chic, impossibly expensive boutiques. This video is the first in a series on the parade, which brings together many dozens of vegan, animal rights and veggie dining groups.
