Vegan Restaurants Anywhere You Go!

Good Vegan Restaurants Are Everywhere Nowadays!

Do you think Indianapolis can’t compete with other big cities like Los Angeles or New York when it comes to scrumptious vegan restaurants? So did Vanessa Marsot, until she tried 10th Street Diner, a two-year-old restaurant that is constantly bustling in Indianapolis. This restaurant is a true labor of love, as it took two years to build the space and a lot of tenacity. It certainly has paid off as the place is constantly packed with lines out the door, and owner Karen Holmes told Vanessa people have cried when they’ve had the food there, it is that good! She’s won multiple restaurant awards both in the vegan and vegetarian categories and in all restaurant categories for Indianapolis. Karen, who owns and runs the restaurant with her son, comes from a catering background and decided to open the restaurant with persuasion from her son. She is constantly experimenting with food combinations and spices, and her style is definitely eclectic. Most every ingredient is made in house, and the creativeness and freshness shine through!

Vanessa sampled a bit (ok maybe a lot)  of the Arugula salad, the fried pickles, the chick’n pot pie, the Reuben sandwich, and the sub sandwich. What struck her were the spices and vinaigrettes, that are so outstanding.

Vanessa Loves Good Vegan Restaurants, But What Else?

Vanessa Marsot is currently working in Indianapolis, visiting some midwestern vegan hotspots. She is also a Yale graduate, and an actress, model, writer, poet, yoga and pole dance instructor, personal trainer, and licensed psychotherapist whose mission is to stop animal suffering. Vanessa founded Ellora Wellness, a global vegan organic wellness center and one-stop-shop of creative, cruelty-free living offering vegan, organic, ecological, non-toxic, and sustainable foods, products, and services. Ellora has dance, yoga, and fitness classes, healing arts, Sunday brunches, a boutique of clothes, jewelry, and decorative arts, and a grocery store of no plastic, zero-waste bulk products. These are the 4 pillars of health as she sees them—what you put in and on your body, the need for movement and creative expression, and the need for healing assistance every now and then. She is also currently working on a book form of Ellora, how to lead an eco vegan life. She welcomes everyone into Ellora as family members in a community space. It takes a community to make a community.

Now Back To Her Visit To The Delicious Vegan Restaurant

The food at 10th Street Diner looks mouth-watering.  Vegan Restaurants that blow my mind are the best kind.  I wish they would open one in Los Angeles.  I love a good vegan diner!  Someplace with lots of choices, where every dish is delicious!   This looks like just that kind of spot.  I might need to book a ticket to Indianapolis soon just to visit this place.
