Today on #LunchBreakLIVE we have the extraordinary writer, producer, filmmaker, Jasmine C. Leyva, co-producer (with her fiancee, Kenny Leyva) of the film, The Invisible Vegan. This documentary addresses how plant-based eating is directly linked to African roots and how African-American eating habits have been debased by a chain of oppression stemming from slavery, economics and modern agribusiness. This film will be featured at the Animal Rights 2018 National Conference #ar2018 on Sat June 30 from 1 - 3 pm followed by a panel discussion with Jasmine, A Vegan Child's Journey- Genesis Butler, Tracye McQuirter, and Milton Rene Mills, MD. On Fri June 29 from 10:45 - 11:45 am, Jasmine will speak "The Power of Documentaries" panel with other documentarians: Allison Argo of ArgoFilms, Speciesism: The Movie's Mark Devries and Chinese Director, Jian Yi.
