Homemade Salsa For Dipping Pleasure!

chips and salsa

Oil-free chips & homemade salsa for the summer! Join today’s vegan chef Stacey Heiny, creator of the brand The Herban Farmacy, a certified holistic nutritionist and Food for Life instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. #LunchBreakLIVE is full of dipping pleasure in this fantastic episode.  let’s take a look…

Owner of The Herban Farmacy, Stacey Heiny creates inspiration for women who want to rise up, feel their best, and lead a healthy holistic life.

Stacey Heiny is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Food for Life Instructor with the Physicians Committee, Lifestyle Wellness Mentor, and Advocate for Better Beauty. She believes in a holistic approach to life, the power of food as medicine, and fostering the right community to change the world.

Stacey helps women remove the overwhelm and create clarity with lifestyle wellness so that they can prioritize their health and serve others in the most purposeful way. She is a passionate person when it comes to helping others live well and for the last 15+ years, has dedicated her life to wellness topics that she knows can transform our future for the better.

People ask how she got started with her life transformation and the truth is, she was always an active, peppy (sometimes to a fault) and seemingly healthy individual growing up, but it wasn’t until she turned 19/20 that her wellness started to decline from years of less than optimal living.  Around then, she adopted a love for Pilates as hope for feeling better and enjoyed it so much that she decided to study Exercise Science, get certified in Pilates & Yoga and other mind-body methods, and eventually owned her own Studio.

Throughout those years, her understanding of wellness as a whole increased greatly, and she has been living a plant-based lifestyle for over a decade now. Stacey wholeheartedly knows that implementing evidence-based nutrition has the capacity to change the world in several ways: not to mention halt and reverse chronic illnesses that plague so many of us. For that reason, she became a licensed Food for Life instructor through the Physicians Committee, certified Holistic Nutritionist, and certified in Plant-Based Nutrition through Cornell University.

The most recent piece that she has added to the puzzle of lifestyle wellness, is environmental toxins, which is why she so passionately teaches about clean beauty. Stacey wants to be sure people are aware of what’s coming into their homes, going onto their bodies, and the people they allow into their lives.

Stacey currently lives in Indiana (but would rather be in Kauai, HI) with her amazing little family. They own a farm where her husband Kyle works part-time to grow Organic produce for the Farmers Markets and also make DIY Elderberry Syrup Kits. Their son, Koen, is the light of their lives and was brought to this world through God’s grace in 2017.

Stacey hopes her space gives you education, inspiration, and a reason to believe in creating the holistic and healthy life you’ve always wanted.  Stay in touch via Stacey’s sites and social media:

  • I bunch green onion
  • 1-2 tbs cumin seed

  • For Chips: Stack tortillas and cut in a cross pattern, then an X and you'll have 8 pieces per tortilla. Lay all the pieces onto a baking sheet and spray with lime juice then sprinkle with ground coriander or salt if you desire. Bake at 350 F until the tortillas are crunchy enough to use as chips!
