Pig Little Lies stars Dante and Beatrice, two abandoned potbellied pigs who find themselves marked for death at a high-kill shelter in Southern California. They are a bonded pair and fight to remain together and protect each other. With the clock ticking to within minutes of their execution date, Simone Reyes, a country singer with a passion for rescuing animals, works the phones and finds them a home with wildlife rehabilitation expert Cindy Brady.
Out of the Inferno & into the Yard!
Cindy, while incredibly kindhearted, doesn’t know anything about potbellied pigs. She ends us putting mama Beatrice in her laundry room after filling the floor with hay. Then, a shocker. Turns out Beatrice is preggers. Soon, 13 piglets arrive, each in search of a nipple, and all hell breaks loose!
The phrase, “It takes a village,” comes to mind as animal lovers from around Los Angeles converge on Cindy’s yard to help her make a real home for the babies. Cindy becomes increasingly invested in the lives of these beings and is the one who names mama and papa Beatrice and Dante, inspired by the famous 14th Century epic poem, Dante’s Inferno. In that classic, Beatrice is the symbol of divine love.

As Vice President of Communications for Social Compassion in Legislation, Simone has been instrumental in passing laws that protect voiceless animals. Speaking of Pig Little Lies, Simone says, “Dante literally goes through an obstacle course to be with his bride…but there‘s a twist. You’ll have to watch to find out.”
