French stuffed tomatoes are on today’s menu and guess what…they are vegan! French Chef Nathan-Josias joins us all the way from London to show us how to make these special little tomato treasures in a flash on this episode of #LunchBreakLIVE. STUFFED TOMATOES. I’VE NEVER HAD THEM, BUT I AM ABOUT TO…
This recipe for French stuffed tomatoes only has a few ingredients. All you need are tomatoes (big), bread crumbs, onion, garlic cloves, fresh parsley, herbes de Provence, white wine, and olive oil. That’s it! I mean how simple is that! It is a healthy little dish with a French twist that would be perfect as an appetizer for a dinner party with friends. These tomatoes are sure to impress your guests.
French vegan version of stuffed tomatoes
- tomatoes big size
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- fresh parsley
- Herbes de Provence
- olive oil
- white wine
- curves the tomatoes.
- chop the onions and fry in a pan to reduce.
- Add the garlic salt.
- When reduce add some white wine
- Let simmer 2 min
- Out of the fire add bread crumbs, chopped parsley.
- Mix and stuff the tomatoes.
- Put in a baking tray with 1/4 cup of white wine.
- Cover loose with foil and let bake for 15/20min at 180•C / 360•F.
- Take off the foil and grill for 2 min.
- Serve with rice or Bulgur.
