This Vegan Chocolate Mousse Is So Creamy!

A healthy, whole-food plant-based way to make creamy vegan chocolate mousse.  But what makes it so creamy?  AVOCADOS!  Yes, you read that right.  And you won’t even be able to taste the avocado, it just gives you that creamy texture you desire with mousse!  Along with avocados, Elizabeth’s recipe uses dates, chia seeds, unsweetened dark cocoa powder, date or maple syrup, plant milk, pure vanilla, and organic turmeric powder.  That’s it!  Throw it in the blender and watch the magic. happen.

Vegan Chocolate Mousse + Sparkling Pomegranate Apple Cider Mocktail

A simple and healthy vegan chocolate mousse, creamy and delicious. Plus a special refreshing drink!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Medjool dates pitted
  • 1 1/2 avocados pitted and skinned
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened dark cocoa powder ( quality matters )
  • 1/4 cup date syrup or maple
  • 1/2 cup plant milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla pure
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder organic
  • Garnish:
  • Raspberries coconut flakes or chopped walnuts
  • A delicious Sparkling Pomegranate Apple Cider Mocktail:
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate juice not from concentrate, fresh
  • 1/4 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water
  • Optional Infusions and Garnishes:
  • 2-3 leaves fresh mint
  • 1 slice fresh ginger
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 Tbsp pomegranate seeds

Instructions
 

  • Instructions for vegan chocolate mousse:
  • In a high speed blender place all ingredients and blend for 1-2 minutes till smooth consistency.
  • Chill in the fridge for 2 hours or overnight.
  • Garnish with fresh raspberries and chopped walnuts.
  • Enjoy!
